Privacy Policy
Effective August 2026
Finance Forest is a youth-run nonprofit that teaches financial literacy to students and women across the U.S. and Canada. We keep our website simple, and we keep this policy simple too.
What this website collects
Nothing, directly. financeforest.org is a static site: it has no accounts, no login, no comment forms, and no analytics or advertising trackers of our own. We do not set cookies, and we do not collect, store, or sell personal information through the pages of this site.
Services we link to and embed
Some things on our site are provided by Google, and Google handles any data those services receive under its own privacy policy:
- Google Forms. When you register for a program or sign up for our newsletter, you use a Google Form. The information you enter there (such as your name, email, and grade level) goes to our team through Google Forms. We use it only to run our programs and send the updates you asked for. We never sell it or share it outside Finance Forest.
- Google Drive. Our gallery pages embed photo albums hosted on Google Drive. Loading those pages sends a request to Google's servers.
- Google Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a standard request (including your IP address) to Google when a page loads.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) as described in GitHub's privacy statement. We don't see or use those logs. You can read how Google handles data at policies.google.com/privacy and how GitHub handles data at docs.github.com/en/site-policy/privacy-policies.
Photos of event participants
We take photos at our camps, expos, workshops, and community events, and some of them appear in our online galleries. If you or your child appears in a photo and you'd like it removed, email us at myfinanceforest@gmail.com and tell us which album the photo is in. We'll take it down promptly, no questions asked.
Children's privacy
Many of our participants are under 13, so we take children's privacy seriously. This website itself collects no personal information from anyone, children included. When a program requires registration for a child under 13, we ask that a parent or guardian complete the form. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us without a parent's consent, email us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Ask us what information we have about you or your child, and we'll tell you.
- Ask us to delete registration or newsletter information, and we will.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by replying to any newsletter email.
- Request removal of a photo from our galleries, as described above.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. Questions about any of this go to myfinanceforest@gmail.com. We're students, but we read every email.
