Privacy Policy

Finance Forest is a youth-run nonprofit that teaches financial literacy to students and women across the U.S. and Canada. We keep our website simple, and we keep this policy simple too.

What this website collects

What you type into our two forms, plus a Google Ads tag that tells us when someone who found us through a Google search ad signs up. financeforest.org has no accounts and no login.

When you register for a program or sign up for our newsletter on our Join page, the information you enter (such as your name, email, role, grade level, general location, and the programs you're interested in) is sent to our team by email. We use it only to run our programs and send the updates you asked for. We never sell it or share it outside Finance Forest.

Services we link to and embed

Some things on our site are provided by other companies, and each handles the data it receives under its own privacy policy:

• FormSubmit. Our registration and newsletter forms are delivered to our inbox by FormSubmit, a form-to-email service. It receives what you submit only to pass it on to us. See FormSubmit's privacy policy.
• Google Ads. We run free search ads through Google Ad Grants. Our pages load the Google tag, which may set cookies so Google can count how many ad visitors register for a program or sign up for our newsletter. We turned off ad personalization for this tag, so it is not used to build ad profiles. Your form answers are never sent to Google.
• Google Drive. Our gallery pages embed photo albums hosted on Google Drive. Loading those pages sends a request to Google's servers.
• Google Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a standard request (including your IP address) to Google when a page loads.

The site is hosted on Vercel, and Vercel may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) as described in Vercel's privacy policy. We don't see or use those logs. Photos of event participants

We take photos at our camps, expos, workshops, and community events, and some of them appear in our online galleries. If you or your child appears in a photo and you'd like it removed, email us at myfinanceforest@gmail.com and tell us which album the photo is in. We'll take it down promptly, no questions asked.

Children's privacy

Many of our participants are under 13, so we take children's privacy seriously. When a child under 13 is registering for a program, we ask that a parent or guardian complete the form using their own email, and our registration form says so. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us without a parent's consent, email us and we will delete it.

Your choices

• Ask us what information we have about you or your child, and we'll tell you.
• Ask us to delete registration or newsletter information, and we will.
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by replying to any newsletter email.
• Request removal of a photo from our galleries, as described above.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. Questions about any of this go to myfinanceforest@gmail.com. We're students, but we read every email.
